Definition: When you encounter a problem while traveling, Assistance can help resolve it. The Assistance team can assist with many kinds of travel challenges, such as:

Ensuring you receive high-quality care for covered medical emergencies during your trip (For non-emergency urgent care abroad, use the Allyz® app to access Global Doctor Visits.)
Arranging emergency medical transportation/evacuation
Making new travel arrangements when your plans change unexpectedly
Retrieving lost baggage
Replacing lost or stolen travel documents

Example: You’re taking your two grandkids on the trip of a lifetime: a 10-day safari in Kenya. On day two, you fall while exiting a safari vehicle and fracture your hip. You’re in pain, you’re hundreds of miles from a hospital, and you’re worried sick about your young grandsons.

One call to 24-Hour Assistance is all it takes to restore your peace of mind. Your Assistance coordinator arranges a medical evacuation to the nearest hospital where you can receive high-quality care. But that’s not all—your coordinator also arranges for your grandsons to be safely transported home, monitors your condition, and keeps your family up to date. When you’re well enough to travel, Assistance books a flight home with the medical accommodations you need to be comfortable.
